August 24, 2009: The Big Pine & Lower Keys Rotary Club demonstrated Service Above Self by donating 100 new and used DVDs to the Monroe County Veterans Affairs Department in Key West, FL. The donation was presented by Rotarian Derek Norman and was matched with another 100 DVDs from DVDs4Vets. Accepting the donation was Bill Hays, Director of the Monroe County VAD along with Lt. Col G. Jack King (USMC Ret.) and Army Veteran Michaelangelo Peluso.
