Every few weeks, we hear from counselors and social workers regarding clients who own large
collections of DVDs that need to be removed from a residence.
Occasionally, we are contacted regarding a family member who has passed away, leaving behind
a DVD collection.
For small collections of DVDs, we invite you to visit our V.A. facility locater page at http:/
/dvds4vets.org/facility_locator.php. Here you can identify the more than 1,500 Veterans
hospitals and Vet Centers we work with by donating new and previously viewed DVDs.
For collections of 1,000 or more DVDs, we will offer to assist by
visiting you to help pack and transport the donation.
When DVDs4Vets is given a collection of DVDs to be forwarded to military veterans, an
acknowledgement letter is immediately given to the donor. Within seven days, the donation is forwarded to as many V.A. facilities as possible, usually where the need is greatest or when the
donor has made a specific request of recipient locations. Each shipment also contains the donor
contact information to allow the V.A. Volunteer Services to acknowledge receipt to the donor.
We also receive donations of military memorabilia that include die-cast models, 12” military figures (GI Joe) and other hard to find items. When these items are delivered to V.A. hospitals, they are used in display cases to commemorate past service of Veterans. For large memorabilia collections, we will arrange to visit your location for packing and shipping. Please contact DVDs4Vets for more information.
